Lovely is as lovely does

On Sunday, myself and a select group of stallholders set up shop in the sun-baked room above the Victoria pub in Mornington Crescent, London. Amanda and Christine managed to get us a mention in Time Out (rather embarrassed of my neat highlighting now … ), London blog, A Little Bird and even Remodelista – my all time favourite design blog.

Sunshine + sneaky half pint of Guinness + posh pub lunch (courtesy of Mick the Fish) + visits from Ma, big sis, Rache and tiny Ellis + visits from general buying public = A lovely day for a merchant.

Bringing paper baubles to N16

For two years, I’ve had Sue Leslie’s dictionary bunting trimming my shelves and alcoves, and today, I brought some of her handmade papercraft to my Sunday stall in Stoke Newington. Her beautiful paper ornaments, flat-pack paper baubles and book sculptures will be gracing many a tree in N16 …

For my next outing, I’ll be propping up the bar at The Lovely Merchants on Sunday 25 November, at The Victoria, 2 Mornington Terrace, London NW1 7RR. The event is curated by Christina Wilson, photographer, and online shopkeeper Amanda Cox of Nonesuchthings and promises to be a civilised, cinnamon-scented affair.
